The estate
Regarded as one of the oldest vineyards in France, Château Roubine is located in the heart of Provence. Known since the 14th century, it was given to the Knights Hospitaller by the Knights Templar in 1307. The consistent quality of its wines was finally rewarded in 1953, when it became a Cru Classé. The current owner, the dynamic and talented Valérie Rousselle – a true globetrotter who spares no effort to establish her brand on the world stage – is behind the reputation of her exceptional and increasingly renowned wines.
Surrounded by pine and oak trees, the Château Roubine estate spreads across nearly 130 hectares of vines between the Verdon and the Var. The 72 hectares of vines are planted on a clay-limestone soil. The wide range of grape varieties grown on the estate are cultivated using sustainable agricultural methods in order to preserve the ecosystem and offer the best of this exceptional Provencal terroir.
